Delayed Recovery Increases Medical Costs
MRI, CT scan and X-ray imaging are not able to relate structure to functional tasks. 3D Motionprint offers significant advantages – it's dynamic vs. static, providing functional insight that reduces uncertainty enabling better diagnosis, more effective treatment, enhance recovery and most importantly - satisfied patients!
3D motion analysis measures and quantifies the complex interaction of muscles, bones and joints to understand underlying root causes of pain or dysfunction as well as movement compensation strategies.
3D motion analysis provides a precise and comprehensive view of individual performance, quantitatively described in a written report.
3D motion analysis provides detailed insight into various functional activities providing medically relevant information and recommendations that assist physicians in determining likely effectiveness of treatment options.
Tracking a patient’s progress is easily accomplished by repeating the testing protocols and comparing to previous evaluation reports. The slightest change among a wide range of movement characteristic parameters can be immediately identified.
3D Motionprint Diagnostic Evaluation - order 4-6 weeks post injury
Effective medical management requires early identification of delayed recovery or treatment that has exceeded established guidelines.
Order a 3D Motionprint® Diagnostic Evaluation to assist physicians with relevant clinical information on underlying medical or non-medical issues that may be limiting rehabilitation progress, when:
- Treatment stalls and anticipated medical progress has not been achieved.
- Patient complaints increase or reports condition is getting worse.
- Treating physician would seek additional diagnostic tests.
3D Motionprint® unique protocols may reveal movement strategies or biomechanical compensation patterns that will assist in putting rehabilitation efforts back on track.
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
Order to assist with: safe and successful return to work and fitness-for-duty and determine the need for work restrictions as appropriate. Our process objectively measures areas such as - physical strength, range of motion, dynamic postural demands and functional activities. A skilled evaluator will use a battery of standardized tests and unique protocols designed to provide the information needed for safe and appropriately return-to-work.
For Vocational Rehabilitation, results will assist in developing return-to-work plans or alternative, modified or transitional employment options as well as determining the feasibility of work-focused rehabilitation.
Human resource professionals can utilize a 3D Motionprint® prior to hiring employees to objectively measure a prospects abilities to meet the essential physical strength and postural demands of the job. Since we use the same technology in our clinical diagnostic and functional evaluation services, the resulting baseline data is useful in rehabiliation planning for restoration to pre-inury status should an injury occur in the future.
Under the American with Disabilities Act employers are permitted to ask applicants to demonstrate how they would perform the duties of the job for which they are being considered, with or without reasonable accommodation. Focusing questions on the ability to perform job functions as well as submitting to physical performance/fitness testing of essential job functions, strength or other criteria determined through a thorough job analysis will ensure you are hiring the best candidates capable of performing their duties. It is important to remember that this type of testing prior to a job offer is permitted as long as no medical information is gathered.
